Arthur H. Aufses III
Arthur’s recent representations include defending publicly traded companies in securities class action lawsuits and related regulatory investigations; defending corporate officers and directors in securities litigation, including the defense of the former president and chief executive officer of a software company specializing in practice management software products for physician practices against class action and other claims; representing the independent trustees of mutual funds in regulatory investigations and class action and derivative litigation; counseling the outside directors and audit committee members of a telecommunications and internet services provider through class action litigation and regulatory inquiries; recovering a multimillion-dollar transaction fee for an investment bank; and resolving for a mortgage provider a series of nationwide class actions that challenged the validity of the company’s mortgage servicing practices.
Arthur has been recognized by Legal 500 US (2012 – 2018) and New York Super Lawyers (2006 – 2024). He has also been named to the AVENUE Legal Elite list, comprised of New York City litigators who have received an AV-Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
