Gabby is a leading projects and energy finance partner with a market-recognised practice focused on large-scale transmission, renewable energy and energy transition projects. She advises sponsors, lenders, government agencies and private capital providers on the development, financing and structuring of some of Australia’s most significant energy infrastructure projects.
Recognised for her expertise in complex financing arrangements, bankability solutions and risk allocation, Gabby is frequently engaged on first-of-a-kind and strategically important transactions. As one of the few east coast practitioners with significant oil and gas experience, she brings a unique perspective to the energy transition, advising across traditional energy, renewables, storage, transmission infrastructure and emerging technologies.
Dual-qualified in Australia and England & Wales, Gabby regularly advises on cross-border energy and infrastructure transactions throughout the Asia-Pacific region. She is also recognised for her expertise in government support mechanisms, including grants, concessional funding and revenue support schemes.

- Edify Energy on the $3.35 billion greenfield portfolio project financing of four hybrid solar and BESS projects, all based in Queensland: Smoky Creek, Guthrie’s Gap, Ganymirra and Majors Creek.
- NSW Energy Corporation on the structuring, financing and development of the novel and highly complex Central-West Orana, New England, Hunter–Central Coast and South West Renewable Energy Zones.
- NSW Energy Corporation on a first-of-a-kind $490 million bilateral facility from the Clean Energy FInance Corporation, advanced as part of the Rewiring the Nation fund.
- NAIF and Merricks Capital on the project financing of the Mt Morgans gold and copper mine in Queensland.
- QIC on the structuring and development of the CopperString transmission project and associated network expansion initiatives.
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS): advising sponsors, developers and financiers on the financing and development of utility-scale standalone and hybrid BESS projects across Australia, including Rangebank, Williamsdale, Wellington and Bennetts Creek.

Gabby completed a Bachelor of Laws (with honours) at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, working in both their London and Hong Kong offices, before relocating to Australia in 2016. Gabby is admitted to practice in both Australia and England & Wales.
