Jamie Ball

Manager, Emerging Technology Advisory
Legal Manager Associate

An experienced technology lawyer and software developer enabling innovation while managing legal risk.

Jamie combines legal experience with hands-on software engineering skills to help organisations extract value from emerging technologies while managing risk. As both a qualified lawyer and practising AI/ML developer, he understands how technology works, enabling pragmatic solutions that balance innovation and commercial drivers with compliance.

Jamie manages complex technology projects within the firm's Emerging Technology Advisory practice, serving as a trusted advisor to organisations deploying AI, blockchain and other emerging technologies at scale. Drawing on secondments at Apple and UBS, he helps clients navigate the tension between innovation and legal risk, often advising on governance, risk and compliance frameworks that enable rather than obstruct.

His coding and business background differentiates his approach: Jamie engages directly with technical architectures and teams to provide commercially grounded legal advice. Clients value this ability to translate between boardrooms and development teams, helping them launch products, implement new capabilities and leverage technology for competitive advantage.
