Michaela is an associate in the Real Estate Dispute Resolution Team. 

Michaela advises on a broad range of property disputes, providing commercial and strategic advice to help clients identify and pursue their key objectives. Her work includes advising on various areas of commercial property litigation, including contentious landlord and tenant work (business lease renewals, break clauses, dilapidations and service charge disputes). Michaela also has experience advising landlord clients on appropriate recovery mechanisms including in the event of a tenant's actual or potential insolvency.

Michaela also advises clients in dealing with development matters, in particular rights of light and vacant possession strategies.

  • acting for various landlord clients in asset management matters including dilapidations claims and settlements, lease renewal proceedings and service charge disputes
  • advising developer and funder clients on various aspects of large complex developments, in particular on potential rights of light infringements and mitigation strategies to support the progress of the development (*both current and former firm)
  • acting for Credit Suisse (UK) Limited (now UBS) in an alleged mortgage fraud case (Huang v Credit Suisse (UK) Limited) (*previous firm)

Background

Michaela joined the firm in January 2026, having trained and qualified at another prestigious London-based law firm in the City. Prior to this, Michaela studied at Durham University, graduating with a first in Law having completed a year abroad studying Spanish Law at the University of Valladolid.

Michaela is a member of the Property Litigation Association and sits on her department's Social, Health and Wellbeing committee.
