Aritra Chatterjee
Aritra is a Manager in the Digital Legal Delivery (Finance) team.
Aritra advises financial institutions and corporate clients on a broad range of derivatives and trading documentation, including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, regulatory margin documentation (IM and VM CSAs), and other trading agreements such as GMRAs, GMSLAs, and CDEAs. He also advises on hedging arrangements in connection with debt finance and securitisation transactions.
In addition, Aritra acts as a delivery manager on large-scale projects, overseeing the negotiation of BAU documentation, including NDAs, and leads regulatory repapering project involving counterparty outreach and negotiations.

Background
Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills in Belfast in 2022, Aritra worked across the India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo offices of a leading international law firm, where he advised on a wide range of derivatives, asset finance and debt capital markets transactions. He also brings valuable in-house experience, having worked within the Derivatives and Structured Products teams of two major global investment banks.
Aritra is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an advocate in India.
