Caitlyn Goldney
Caitlyn is a solicitor specialising in general employment law, industrial relations and safety.
Caitlyn’s experience includes advising on industrial relations strategy, undertaking workplace investigations, assisting in workplace related disputes and class actions, advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and advising on executive contracts and remuneration. She also has experience in workplace safety prosecutions and investigations.
Caitlyn has experience working across both transactional matters and contentious disputes and has advised a range of clients, with a particular specialisation in the mining and resources industries.
Caitlyn has practised employment law in the firm's London office, working on large scale employment disputes, corporate transactions and requests made under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regime. During this time, she worked with high profile financial and banking institutions and large corporate clients.

- assisting large mining client deliver training in Australia, the United Kingdom, Latin America, the United States and Central Europe on adoption of a trauma-informed approach to workplace investigations
- advising multiple employers in the resources industry with respect to their material risks and obligations under the recent same job, same pay legislative reforms
- advising large oil and gas client with respect to their equal opportunity compliance across Australia and international offices
- assisting a large multinational bank in a complex unlawful termination, whistleblower and discrimination dispute brought in the London Employment Tribunal
Background
Caitlyn holds a Juris Doctor (with Distinction) from Monash University. She graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours), majoring in Political Science & Industrial Relations and Criminology. She has also studied at the University of Oslo, Norway as part of her undergraduate degree.
Caitlyn was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and in the Federal and High Courts of Australia in 2022.
She has practised employment law in Australia and the United Kingdom.
