Crispin Scott
Crispin's practice encompasses all aspects of employment and industrial relations law.
Crispin specialises in employee conduct and industrial disputes, with particular focusses on dismissal-related litigation and enterprise bargaining. Crispin regularly appears in Federal and State industrial tribunals representing employers on range of matters, including unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination and bargaining-related applications. Crispin has also advised various clients on effective strategies for managing industrial risk and regulatory compliance on an ongoing basis.
Crispin regularly provides advice on the interpretation and application of complex industrial instruments and has assisted numerous businesses in managing broad payroll compliance and remediation projects. Crispin has particular expertise managing the obligations of the Coal LSL scheme and the interaction with various other State and Federal LSL entitlements. Crispin has also effectively managed business-critical employment and industrial litigation matters for several large employers. In 2025, Crispin was recognised by Doyles Guide as a ‘Rising Star’ in the field of Employment and Industrial Relations Law.

- advising and representing numerous clients in relation to unfair dismissal matters, including for serious misconduct such as acts or threats of physical violence, fraud, theft, sexual harassment and sexual assault
- advising several clients in relation to complex Union demarcation disputes
- assisting an essential services provider in managing its workforce response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent vaccination mandates
- representing clients in both the Queensland Human Rights Commission and Australian Human Rights Commission in relation to claims of unlawful discrimination and vilification
- assisting businesses in the energy, resources, manufacturing and healthcare industries in relation to disputes arising during enterprise bargaining or under applicable industrial instruments. These disputes have related to matters including base rates, Award interaction, redundancy pay, notice of termination, payment of bonuses and training requirements
Background
Crispin holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from The University of Queensland.
Prior to working as a solicitor, Crispin was an Associate at the Fair Work Commission.
