Darren is a disputes lawyer specialising in commercial and financial services disputes. 

Darren has broad experience representing clients in high‑stakes litigation and arbitration, including shareholder disputes, financial services disputes, investment disputes, judicial reviews, as well as debt recovery and enforcement actions. He also advises clients on regulatory and internal investigations. His clients include banks, securities firms, airlines, listed companies, state‑owned enterprises, regulators, high‑net‑worth individuals, and other multinational corporations.

Apart from gaining experience from private practice, Darren did a client secondment at a multinational bank for 8 months and previously worked in the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Futures Commission.

Darren was recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025.

Background

Darren is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree. He has been admitted to practice in Hong Kong after completing his training with a major UK‑based global law firm.
