Background
Bastian studied law at the University of Bonn and the University of Helsinki. After his first state examination in 2017, he worked as a research assistant at the chair of private law, commercial, company and business law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He did his doctorate at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg on a subject of equal price treatment in public takeovers. In 2022 he completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg.
