Jack is an English qualified senior associate specialising in construction and engineering disputes. 

Based in the UAE for the last nine years, Jack has advised clients through disputes on some of the most complex construction and engineering projects in the region. Jack has managed arbitrations under all the major arbitral institutional rules as well as guiding clients through mediations, DAB/DAAB proceedings, and litigation in the English and ADGM courts. Jack's ability to distil wide-ranging disputes to their core issues has earned him a stellar reputation for providing robust and commercial advice.

Jack spent time seconded to an international developer and previously worked for a local contractor. His broad, practical experience has given him an in-depth understanding of the key legal issues and commercial motivations for project participants throughout the lifecycle of a project. Jack provides immediate answers to live issues as well as long-term strategic guidance enabling clients to either avoid or navigate disputes.

Jack is recognised as a "Key Lawyer" by Legal 500 and was shortlisted in 2025 for "Middle East Dispute Lawyer of the Year" by Legal Era and as a "Rising Star" by Law Middle East.

Jack has also sat as an arbitrator in DIAC administered proceedings.

Background

Jack holds a Bachelor of History and Bachelor of Law (both with Honours) from the University of Warwick and University of Law respectively.

Before joining the firm in 2026, Jack spent 11 years at an international law firm in its London, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai offices.
