Jin-Bum Yoon
Jin-Bum Yoon is a Senior Associate for Dispute Resolution/Corporate Crime and Investigations at our Frankfurt office. He specialises in cases of white-collar crime.
Jin-Bum primarily conducts internal investigation in cross-border cases or corruption and embezzlement. In particular, Jin-Bum works closely with our market leading CC&I practice in the Asia-Pacific region.
Jin-Bum also defends national and international clients in criminal and regulatory proceedings. Jin-Bum further represents damaged companies with regard to asset recovery, which includes the seizing of assets, the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of claims for damages, conducting internal investigations and supporting the criminal investigations. Jin-Bum provides preventive advice on compliance and money laundering matters.

Background
Jin-Bum studied law at the University of Giessen. During his legal traineeship, he gained experience at international law firms in Germany and Korea. Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Mr. Yoon worked for a leading compliance law firm. As part of a secondment, Mr. Yoon spent several years in our Hong Kong office.
