Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has advised ClearScore, one of the UK's leading fintech companies, on its acquisition of Acre Platforms, the UK’s leading mortgage brokerage tech platform.
The acquisition will form part of ClearScore's diversification into further strategic markets as it looks to expand its footprint in the mortgage provision market.
The Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer team was led by Corporate partners Michael Jacobs and Barney Hinnigan, supported by senior associate Tom Watkins and associate Emma Yiu. The wider team included Employment partner Tim Leaver.
Partner Michael Jacobs said "We’re very pleased to have played a part in this important transaction for ClearScore. A huge thank you to Ed Freeman and the team for their trust and collaboration throughout. We look forward to seeing ClearScore and Acre achieve great success in this next chapter."
Ed Freeman, Group Legal Director, ClearScore, commented: "We are delighted to complete this important milestone for ClearScore and want to extend our thanks to the HSFK team. Their calm, responsive approach and unwavering commitment made all the difference. It’s been a real pleasure working together on this transaction."
