Alexandra is a Senior Associate in our Competition, Regulation and Trade practice in London.

Alexandra has over a decade of experience advising on a wide range of high-profile, cross-border matters, focusing on UK and EU competition law and regulation. Her expertise spans merger control, antitrust investigations and compliance, market studies, judicial review and damages claims before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal, appeals before the EU Courts, digital markets regulation, as well as matters at the confluence of competition law and regulation in the aviation, telecommunications and energy sectors.

Alexandra provides strategic advice to clients across a broad range of sectors including TMT, infrastructure, energy and financial services. She has extensive experience representing clients before UK and EU competition authorities and courts, as well as working effectively with local counsel in other jurisdictions. She is expert at coordinating international strategy for competition and regulatory matters, from merger control and FDI filings to competition litigation. Alexandra was recognised in The Legal 500 EU and Competition as a key lawyer.

  • American Airlines in the CMA investigation regarding American’s joint business with British Airways, Iberia and Finnair* 
  • Electro Rent in the post-closing Phase II investigation by the CMA relating to the acquisition of Microlease, and the appeal in the CAT of the first CMA fine relating to an Interim Order*
  • Viasat in its appeal in the CAT and Court of Appeal of Ofcom’s authorisation of ground-based stations operated by Inmarsat Ventures Limited for the provision of broadband services to aircraft*
  • Singapore Airlines in civil claims in the English High Court for damages arising out of an European Commission decision imposing fines on air cargo carriers for a global price fixing cartel on fuel surcharges. Highlights of this decade-long litigation include three victories in the Court of Appeal regarding economic torts claims and the temporal scope of the claims*

Background

Alexandra holds a First Class LLB from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Distinction LPC from the College of Law. She also completed the LSE Short Course on Regulation.
