Tatsuaki Tomiyama
Tatsuaki is an associate in the Tokyo Corporate team.
Tatsuaki has advised international and Japanese clients on mergers & acquisitions, joint venture and various commercial contracts in resources, defence, industrial, infrastructure, energy, healthcare and telecommunications sectors.
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, Tatsuaki worked in Washington DC, the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. He also worked at a United Nations agency to improve governance and security in conflict areas.
Tatsuaki is qualified to practice in New South Wales, Australia, where he also spent five years at our Sydney office. Tatsuaki is a native Japanese speaker and speaks fluent English.

Background
Tatsuaki was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in April 2021. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Sydney Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) from Soka University of America.
