Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has advised China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited as the sole sponsor and other underwriters on Nexchip Semiconductor Corporation (02249.HK, 688249.SS)'s listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

"Nexchip Semiconductor’s listing reflects the continued depth of Hong Kong’s capital markets for high-quality technology and advanced manufacturing issuers," said Hong Kong partner Jason Sung. "It also highlights Hong Kong’s important role in connecting leading A-share listed companies with international investors."

Nexchip Semiconductor is a leading pure-play foundry specialising in 12-inch wafer manufacturing, operating at a critical juncture of the global semiconductor value chain. Its foundry services cover technology nodes ranging from 150nm to 40nm, with the 28nm Logic IC platform successfully developed. The company’s process capabilities are centred on key application-specific IC categories, including display driver ICs, CMOS image sensors and power management ICs, supporting applications across consumer electronics, automotive electronics, industrial control, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and memory.

"We congratulate Nexchip Semiconductor on its successful Hong Kong listing and are pleased to have advised the sponsor and underwriters on the transaction," said Hong Kong partner Jin Kong*. "The transaction drew on our experience advising leading Chinese technology and advanced manufacturing companies, as well as our strong Hong Kong execution capability."
