Elian Pöplau is an associate in the Intellectual Property team focusing on patent litigation and complex cross-border disputes.
Elian Pöplau advises national and international clients on all aspects of intellectual property law in the fields of technology, life sciences and automotive. Drawing on her experience in the dispute and risk sector, her focus lies on conducting complex proceedings as well as the enforcement and assertion of legal claims.

- advising and representing a multinational energy company in Germany in the field of biomethane with a particular focus on the enforcement of price adjustment claims
- conduct of proceedings on behalf of an international automotive components manufacturer in an international ICC arbitration
- advising a global cable manufacturer in a complex DIS arbitration with a particular focus on claims arising from long-term contracts

Background
Elian studied law at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where she passed her first State Examination in 2018. She completed her second State Examination at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne in 2023 and obtained her doctorate in law (Dr. iur.) from the University of Cologne in the same year.
Before joining HSF Kramer, Elian was an associate in another leading law firm in Cologne.
