Jaime Porras de Egaña
Jaime is a junior associate in the dispute resolution practice in the Madrid office.
He advises both Spanish and foreign companies on the resolution of national and international disputes in a wide range of sectors. Jaime advises in arbitration proceedings administered by domestic and international institutions as well as in pre-litigation matters and civil and commercial proceedings.

Selected matters
- a temporary union of companies of the energy sector on an ICC arbitration against a contractor, claiming design and execution damages in the construction of a photovoltaic power station in Spain
- a Spanish engineering and consulting company on a dispute against a Kenyan and a Mauritius contractors arising from certain supply and works contracts related to the construction of a photovoltaic plant in Kenya
- a leading telecommunications company in Spain on a CIMA arbitration in relation to the counterparty's breach of a letter of intent signed January 2023 for the disposal of five telecom companies in Spain
- a large telephone operator on claims against the liquidation of transfer tax derived from the granting of concessions of the radio public domain. The basis for this claim is its possible incompatibility with the Authorisation Directive 2002/20/CE

Background
He has a double degree in Law and International Relations from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), a double master's degree for Admission to the Bar and Business Legal Advice (LLM) by IE Law School, as well as a course in private international law by the Hague Academy of International Law. He speaks Spanish and English. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM).
Prior to joining the firm as a junior associate, Jaime has worked in national and international law firms in Madrid.
