Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer ("HSF Kramer") has advised Etablissements Maurel & Prom S.A. ("Maurel & Prom") on its joint acquisition with Afentra plc of Etu Energias S.A.'s ("Etu") 10% upstream oil interest in Block 3/05 and 13.33% upstream oil interest in Block 3/05A in Angola (the "Acquisition"). Maurel & Prom has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement with Etu for its 50% share of the Acquisition which is subject to customary closing conditions including approval from Angolan authorities.
Blocks 3/05 and 3/05A are located in the Lower Congo Basin offshore Angola and are both operated by Sonangol Exploração e Produção, S.A.
