According to Personnel Today, the Government Equalities Office have confirmed that the dual discrimination provisions in the Equality Act will not come into force in April 2011 as originally planned.  The Government is still considering how to implement the provisions and has stated that it will publish guidance at least 12 weeks before they are brought into force.
